This year, we are kicking things off by delving into the dynamic world of financial services. Hear from a panel of successful speakers as they share their insights and experiences working in this exciting industry. From investment banking to fintech, discover the diverse career paths available and gain valuable advice on breaking into the sector.

Daisy Sclater (2019)  is a Jesus alumni who graduated in 2023 with a degree in Classics. She now works at Rothschild & Co in the Global Advisory division.

Richard Wyatt has spent his commercial career in London’s capital markets, he is a global partner at Rothschild & Co, formerly a partner at Lazard , and a Group Managing Director at Schroders. He Chairs Temple Bar Investment Trust and is formerly non executive chair of a large digital media agency and a major retailer. He also chairs London’s Trampery Foundation, a B Corp which provides affordable workspace and support networks for start up companies in East London. His primary interests outside of finance and economics are music, especially jazz, and co owns a jazz club and supports young musicians. He is also a lifelong suffering West Ham United supporter …

Jimmy Anderson is the Bursar and a Fellow of Girton College, Cambridge. Having obtained a first class degree in Classics at Magdalen College, Oxford, he spent twenty-one years in a variety of investment banking and advisory roles focused on helping companies to raise money on the UK stock exchange and to get the most out of their market listings. He began his career at Schroders – at the time one of the few remaining UK merchant banks – and subsequently worked for Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and latterly PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Partner leading the creation of a new Equity Advisory business. Over the course of his career he has advised companies ranging from internet startups to global mining giants, and from bookmakers to large hotel chains. As well as serving as Bursar at Girton, he is in his final year of training part-time for ordained ministry in the Church of England.
